GRECO PT & ARMCARE

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers to help you understand our approach, logistics, and what to expect when working with Greco PT.

Do I need a referral to start physical therapy?

No. Nebraska allows direct access to physical therapy, meaning you do not need a physician referral to begin care. If your situation requires coordination with another provider, we’re happy to assist.

Do you take insurance?

Greco PT is an out-of-network physical therapy practice. This model allows us to provide individualized care, longer sessions when appropriate, and a coaching-based approach without insurance-driven limitations. We are able to accept FSA (flexible spending accounts) and HSA (health savings accounts) for payment.

Can I use my insurance for reimbursement?

Many patients choose to submit for out-of-network reimbursement depending on their plan. We can provide documentation such as a superbill to support this process, though reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your individual insurance policy. For specific questions regarding your insurance reimbursement (or even the ability to have a portion covered) please reach out specifically to your insurance company regarding your plan. We are able to submit this information for you, as needed!

How does pricing work?

Pricing varies based on the type of service, frequency of visits, and whether care is provided in person or remotely. We review recommendations and expectations before care begins so there are no surprises.

Do you offer packages or plans?

Some services may be offered as structured packages when appropriate, particularly for performance training or longer-term outpatient services. Recommendations are individualized based on goals, needs, and plan of care. Our Prescriptive Exercise Program is more of a monthly membership option.

What happens at the first visit?

Your initial visit includes a thorough history, movement and strength assessment, and discussion of your goals. From there, we outline a clear plan and next steps so you understand what we’re working on and why.

How do I know if Greco PT is the right fit for me?

Our approach works best for individuals who want an active, coaching-driven plan and are willing to participate both during and between visits. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to talk through your goals and help determine fit before getting started.

How is your approach different from traditional physical therapy?

Our care emphasizes one-on-one and specific physical therapy which emphasizes strength, movement quality, and progressive loading rather than passive treatment alone. We focus on education and coaching so patients understand their plan and can take ownership of long-term outcomes.

How often will I need to come in?

Visit frequency depends on your goals, needs, and stage of care. Some individuals benefit from more frequent visits early on, while others transition to less frequent check-ins as they progress or even transitioning from in-person sessions to a prescriptive exercise program.

How much work happens between visits?

Progress depends on consistency outside the clinic. The plan only works when implemented. Our plans include specific exercises or movement work between visits, with clear guidance on what to prioritize and why. We utilize our Youtube page with exercises and drills to be able to easily follow your plan.

Do you work with people who are not athletes?

Yes. We work with active adults, individuals recovering from injury or surgery, and people managing orthopedic pain — not just athletes. Our approach is adapted to your goals and daily demands.

Do you offer baseball or throwing training if I’m not in pain?

Yes. We work with baseball and throwing athletes both with and without pain. Training focuses on strength, movement efficiency, workload management, and long-term durability.

What is the Prescriptive Exercise Program (PEP)?

PEP is a remote service option that provides individualized programming, education, and coaching when in-person visits aren’t feasible, as a supplement to in-person care, or when someone needs more specialized coaching with their training especially from a Doctor of Physical Therapy perspective. It is used for both orthopedic support and remote baseball/throwing development.

Do you offer dry needling?

Dry needling may be used as part of a broader plan of care when appropriate. Your provider will educate you on the process and whether or not it makes sense with your plan of care. We are able to offer dry needling as a standalone treatment but our recommendation is to combine the dry needling services with specific movement, strength, and education through a PT plan of care.

Where are you located?

Greco PT is based in Omaha, Nebraska. Our office location is at 9840 S 168th Ave, Suite 1 Omaha, NE 68136. We also operate out of another building for some trainings once a week that we will be sure to inform you of, when appropriate.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Athletic clothing and shoes are recommended. If you are coming to see us for baseball services you can also bring your glove.

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask for advance notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. We understand things can happen out of our control with schedules and have a policy set in place for more than 3 cancellations (within the cancel window) or any no-shows will be charged a fee.
